Silkie laying habits?

I have a Silkie that has just started to lay.
We live in WA and the days are very short 7:30 am -4:30 is typical daylight.
She has started to lay daily. Is that odd?
I already expected her to lay the least, I've heard 3 times a week is average... and I expected her to slow down in winter! The past 3 days she's layed!!
Normal?

Don't be surprised if she lays another week or so and then goes broody.

I have two silkies right now who are about 9 months old. We live in Maryland and our days are also getting shorter. Until recent, one of them would lay everyday. The other would go a couple days between each egg.
