silkie laying problem

My 2 year old Silkies is not laying. She has goon broody aabout 4 times in th past 6 months. We got her a chick the first time she went broody but her chick is like 3 months old now. Why wont she lay? Is she done laying?

Being broody 4 times in a season is not unusual for a silky - it's what they do. Lay a clutch, set, hatch and raise the chicks and do it over again. Is she laying between each broody spell?

No she hasent layer for atleast 2 months of not more. She acts like her chick is a new chick and is constantly with it. The chick is growing up alittle an venturing away from mom but not to much.
