Silkie laying - when do they start?

From what I understand they don't begin laying around 20 weeks like the standard breeds, is that correct? Most will wait until the next spring? I hatched some out over Christmas and want to know if I can expect any eggs this summer or will I have to wait until next summer?

My Silkies started laying at about five to six months. If you hatched Silkies over this Christmas, they should start to lay about late May or June.

Oh yippee! I really hope so! I'm not patient enough to wait until spring of 2011!
