Silkie pair??

I sure did my best to pick a breeding pair out our silkies before they left for their new home. Do you think I managed to choose a hen & a rooster? These hatched on Thanksgiving day. No laying & no crowing yet.

I am certainly no expert but I have silkies, they look like two girls to me to, my rooster has a big fat comb

REALLY?! Lol - I was just outside looking at them and noticing that they don't seem to peck much at the ground - they watch everything going on. I was saying to myself that I foolishly chose 2 roos.
I also really thought the darker one, with the "streamers" off the back of its head was a roo for sure.

I 80% sure you have a pair. The darker one really looks like a male.

First I would like to say ,nice looking buffs !

On the sexing part, it can be very hard but to me I see 2 girls .

Looks like the one comb is a lil raised so it could still end up to be a Roo .

In the bottom pic ,it does look like the darker one has streamers though

No crowing yet ?
