Omg I'm in love. This is my first group of silkies and they are the sweetest things. I own bardrock and rir the personality difference is amazing. The silkies don't roam much and stick together. Where as the others right from the begining roamed far and wide. Is this a normal personality for silkies or are they still getting use to there suroundings? It has been about 1 month now since they've been at my home.

Silkies don't like to wander far. They are very security-oriented.

They can't see well and need cover from hawks- they realize this.

I love my silkies too!

Some silkies will wander and others won't. If you trim or pluck any feathers that block vision (more often muffs than crest), they can see better, and may become a bit bolder.
