That's a good sign that she is eating and drinking on her own.
Maybe she was just very depressed being alone?
I'd still pick up some Nutri Drench and offer it to her daily straight to the beak for a few days too.
FWIW..Medicated feed will only SOMETIMES prevent severe out breaks of Cocci, only.
It (the medicated part) is only a thiamine blocker.
Hence the reason I would start her on vitamins immediately.

Yeah, true - but I handle her daily and she was robust on Friday night (a few of my chickens demand daily lap-time, she is one of them and I was cuddling her a while Friday). Worms and other parasites I've noticed usually take a little while and the birds gradually lose weight - not over 2 or 3 days so suddenly with loss of mobility like this. At least, not in pigeons.

I'm going to have a fecal done - but regardless I will definitely deworm everyone once she's better - it's something I usually do annually right before winter.

I would think that if she wasn't eating for 3 days AND had worms in her should could deteriorate very fast.

Yeah I agree. It makes me hopeful.

She's very used to being on her own. Even in the big yard the other chickens totally ignore her, she is always by herself, it's sad and the reason I want to go get the rest of the pullets from her clutch in MA.
(and sometimes the other chickens pick on her or chase her away... on those days I just let her hang out with me in the house, and the guineas when they decide they need to get on the sofa for cuddling... which is too often - tame guineas.. a blessing and a curse... because of the screaming for their demands LOL).

While I was gone, even tho she was in her cage, she was in the same large room (as always) with a pigeon of mine who lives indoors, and I had moved the guineas' cage in off the deck so they wouldn't be outside alone while I was gone.

(She and the one pigeon totally love one another - sort of weird. He's super clean, 11 yrs old, vaccinated, annually gets a 4-in-1 treatment of Roni/Furaltadone, etc etc... but she was in the same room as him as usual so should have been happy. They don't like, hang out, but they follow one another around and stay close)

I think she wasn't eating because she couldn't walk or stand and get into her food and water cup. But of course, you're right. I will certainly check for worms. As soon as she had access to the shallow food/water dishes in front of her she was chowing down and drinking happily. So I dunno... so strange.

She is your bird so you know her better then I ever could, but I'm thinking it is the other way around...I think, I am totally guessing, she may have stopped eating (probably cause she felt bad for some reason/worms) and got very dehydrated and weak from not eating/drinking and couldn't use her legs?
I honesty am just guessing here.
Do you have a store near by to pick up some Nutri Drench or poultry vitamins that you could start her on asap?

Good point - I will go to Tractor Supply in the am, I believe they have the NutriDrench or I know they have a liquid poultry vitamin for sure, I will start her on that first thing in the morning. I hope she makes it, she is such a nice girl.
