Picked up a couple Silkie pullets at a show a couple weeks ago, kept them separated for a week and they looked fine so I put them in with my other Silkies.
This afternoon I went out to wash out the waterers and the youngest pullet was flopping around on her side apparently unable to get on her feet. I took her out and put her in a tractor pen I have alone. She doesn't even seem well enough to hold up her head.
Anybody had a chicken with such symptoms? She otherwise looks healthy. It rained here all day yesterday so I didn't see see her condition yesterday but as far as I know she was fine Friday.
Worried now the other Silkies might come down with whatever she has. I don't know that she will live thru the night.
Appreciate any info from those who has seen this.
