Are the whites more chicken-like our just more mature (faster at growing)?

I have 7x purebred silkies, they are 3.5 months old. Since they were hatchlings there's been noticeable differences between a) the white/splash ones (2x) and b) the black ones (5x). Notably, (a) were bigger to for the first 2 months, as little chicks outside for the first time they had a strong innate urge to dust bathe, and have always been must inquisitive, bold and friendly; and now have an innate intelligence and urge to quickly figure out how to climb the ladder and roost at night.
The black ones have never dust bathed (that I've seen), can't figure out how to get up the ladder or haven't even bothered to try because they don't have an urge to roost and three out of five are not friendly (bite).
The past two nights I picked up the back ones and placed them on the roost. One or two fell off, and either didn't try to get up again or tried for a while before they gave up and just slept on the ground. Leaving me with a drastically segregated coop comprised of white chickens up above looking down to the black ones.

Really has nothing to do with color.
Some birds are just smarter and/or more able than others.

What is that roost made from and how is it attached?
Could be not stable enough and/or have a good surface to navigate.

Color has nothing to do with what you're talking about.

Growth rate, is determined by their genetics, & every bird grows at it's own rate. Some grow slower, & matures slowly, others grow, & matures faster.

Dust bathing is something they'll do when they think they need to. The black ones just didn't need it at the time, so they didn't take a dust bath.

Note about Splash: Splash is what's made when you breed two blues. Splash is the result of adding two blue genes.

Blue gene is a diluter of Black.
