silkie, red face and no crest??what is she???

hey its brandon
my friend gave my 8 silkies, but one of them seems to be different. she has no crest, and no signs of one, and has red skin on her face, yet black legs. im so confused!! the only reason i think its a girl is because i caught one of the young cockerels attempting to mate with her. i will post pics of her later. please help! any suggestions?

well if one the cockerels attempted to mate with her, it's probably a hen

or a confused cockerel...but it's probably a pullet! Does she have a pom-pom on her head?

her face is a lot redder now as well, you cant really see it in the picture. is she a cross breed or just had bad genes???

Is she a hatchery bird? May just be a very poor quality silkie. Many years ago when we got hatchery silkies, they sent some with pink skin.

Does she have feathered legs and 5 toes on each foot?

no shes not hatchery, and yes she has 5 toes and black/blue legs....

mate her with a cochin and make yourself a silkied cochins...

i would but cant get my hands on a cochin rooster, and i want one!
