My silkie roo was trying to lay an egg today has anyone ever see this before???

All jokes aside, I've heard that some roosters are so good with their ladies that they will find appropriate nesting areas, hang around to talk to their hens while they're laying, and I've even heard of some sitting on eggs for short periods of time.
