Cant wait for you to post pics !!!!! I have all the breeds you mentioned but they are not quite at laying age yet. Please post pics later !!

I have 4 EE hens living with my little flock of pet quality silkies, which includes 3 silkie roos - I hatched some of their eggs 2 weeks ago, but I don't have any pics yet. Would you like me to take some tomorrow for you?

In the meantime, I can tell you, they all have hard/flat feathers (the silkie gene is recessive), small crests, and 5 toes. There are 7 altogether - 4 hatched with "chipmunk" stripes, 1 is blue, 1 is black and 1 is white. I have NO IDEA where the white came from, because I don't have any white chickens! But I'm told white can be recessive - I just don't know WHO is carrying it!!

Obviously a couple of c's in the gene pile.... males and females. Noooo telling with the silkies or the EE's. It's a crap shoot.

These birds I hatched last year were Splash Silkie roo crossed to RIR hens. They all were crested, regular feathered, and all had 5 toes (Except one) and black skin and beards and muffs.

Just the two blue ones

The blue ones and the blue with the red around neck

The front bird with the red in it, the only male I had gotten.

wow those birds are interesting!! kinda like the face only a mother could love thing.... but I think they are cute too.... I really like the little "helmets" they are wearing!

Those are pretty typical silkie crosses--type varies depending on the cross, but soft non-silkie feathers, a small crest, dark skin, 5-toes and walnut comb are the usual.
