Silkie roo?

Here is mine.

Pretty sure he is a roo, but no crowing yet. He is about

pretty sure mine is a roo. He is about 3.5 months old, but his wattles grew overnight about a month ago.

No practice crowing yet.

The tail looks like a roo to me, but no big waffles concerns me.

That silkie definitely looks like a male. If you look where its wattle will be, you can see the red wattle already coming in. And in the front facing picture, you can see on his head where the comb will grow, you can also see that their is a pale red coming in, while hens don't have this feature. Congratulations on your new roo!
:)

His comb and wattles are black, but the wattles appear purple-ish when the light shines through.

His antics right now, trying to dom the girls is hilarious.

Most of them are bigger than he is and too young to be interested.

I sold this silkie because to me it looked and acted like a roo. But the lady I sold it to said she had someone look at it and they say it’s a hen. My partner said it crowed weakly at him but I never heard it myself. Can you all please ease my mind that I sold a roo and not a hen?
I'D SAY A ROO! THEY TEND TO LOOK UP,STRETCH OUT TOWARDS A SOUND, AND PULLETS TEND TO HUNKER DOWN. ROOS GET WATTLES. ALTHOUGH HARD TO SEX, SO ARE PIGEONS BIT THIS IS WHAT I look for

Wish I could help, in the same boat myself. My birds are about 10 weeks and no sign of any wattles or flyaways on my unknown gender bird. My hubby felt he just heard more of an attempt at clucking before.
