silkie roo

I have a white silke roo and a hen there the same age. The hen started laying monday already got 2 eggs . The roo is not crowing and the crown is decent size for the age no goblets yet real small. My question is when can/will my roo start to fertilize the eggs?

with an older rooster with them, your young roo is laying low so the older boy doesnt go after him. if you remove the older roo, your young one should "man up"

i just put them witg the big roo Monday. Before that they were in the coop with my other chickens. And he was clucking like a hen when the hen laid the egg. More than she was.

he looks a little like a hen. hard to tell with silkies.

Tht wasnt a goid pic. He's s roo. Or do hens get combs and waddles on silkie. He has a comb like the black onr just smaller bc he only 7 mths old.
