Hi everyone,
I have a 4 month or so old silkie that were pretty sure is a roo. He has pretty large waddles a decent sized comb. He has been living in the house.
Today I was outside using a saw to work in the future coop and my husband came out to tell me he has been making noise and to come see. I'm pretty sure the silkie was singing the egg song, but he seemed agitated, probably from the noise of the saw.
I had read that sometimes hens will sing the song if they are agitated or scared, but do roosters do that as well? Or is it likely that he is a she?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
