Silkie rooster or hen?

    I'm 99% sure it's a rooster. it's body is shaped the same as my three previous silkie roos.

    Such a confusing bird for me. It does not act like a rooster AT ALL. Walks like a hen, no crowing, with another rooster and isn't competing at all. Very very timid.

    I had a silkie rooster like that, he was very submissive towards the other rooster and never fought. He acted just like a little hen, he was just so sweet.

    How old is your silkie? Sometimes it takes them a while to start crowing...

    Oh alright then. My current silkie rooster is about a year old and hasn't crowed a single time, and your silkie doesn't look too old so I'd say there's still a chance he/she might crow in the future ;). Wish I could help more.
