silkie rooster squatting?...

Whenever i go to pick my silkie rooster up it squats. I thought this was only a behavior of hens who are in mating position and think that your their rooster...whats going on?

I dunno... maybe he is showing you that you are boss and he knows it?? And you are right if he was a hen.
