We have 12 chickens - 3 are now confirmed roosters. I am going to give away my Icelandic rooster I think....I don't want to, but don't have much of a choice. I'd like to keep my Ameraucana rooster (he is Ameraucana - not an EE....I got him from a breeder and I love him!).....praying he will end up being a good rooster for the flock. Anyway - I also have 3 silkies, and one is a rooster. Do you suggest I give away my silkie rooster too? Or do you think a silkie rooster could co-exist with an Ameraucana rooster? The person we got our Icelandics from had many roosters roaming around - both average size birds and bantam and didn't seem to have a problem.

I have a silkie roo and a production red roo. They get along fine. Once in awhile they'll kick each other off of a hen but that's it. I'd definitely watch them though. I had a bo that grew up and almost killed my red.
