My silkie roos are wonderful. They are just over 6 months old so they could change but for now they are nice as ever. Sometimes my blue will do his little sneak but nothing real aggressive. And yes, their crows can be pretty high and screechy. The larger roos at least have a really low crow and not as annoying.

My German spitzhauben crows from sun up to sundown it is very annoying. I only keep him because hes awesome looking and I dont think hed be worth eating

My showgirl roo is my alpha here and he is never mean to me or chicks. Any time I come in the yard he walks along side me and "talks" to me - I swear he is giving me some kind of daily report. He also protects me from my black copper roo who would love to get his spurs into my leg.

He does crow starting around 5 am and my neighbors don't hear him. I also keep them cooped until around 8 am since I live in the city.

Hi, i know I’m late ( Like very late!) But if you too is still alive I would like to know if he crows loud. Were they very loud when were a bit older?. I am thinking of getting a roo and like you I am not aloud to because of the law, so I am trying to find a more quiet breed. I hope you will answer to this lol, I’m not sure about it because this forum is about 8-9 years old lol .
