It is quite easy to ship live birds, but expensive. I have shipped birds before; what I did was call the PO to find out the cost, then I ordered a live bird shipping box from boxesforbirds.com, and dropped it off at the PO. Bird arrived happy in Georgia from NY! Just make sure your PO KNOWS it is a live bird and can handle it! I talked to our PO manager.
