Can't really tell visually til they're about 3mos old. I can sometimes tell by stance and actions but have to see the chick all the time. I have a 2mo old that I think is a roo but sometimes I look and think "well maybe..."

really cute! though as others have said the chick is way too young to be able to make a guess at this stage.
 
Pm me with a couple of close ups! Front face, side views ... So far I am leaning towards a female.
When you bathe a silkie you should at least 1/2 dry them so as not to get sick... Dryer on low heat.
Even if it is hot outside. The feathers closest to the body will need help to dry.
