So I have a silkie her name is daisy <3 and since like 2 days ago, she sat on eggs and some aren’t her eggs and we have no rooster to fertilize the eggs, I don’t want to make her sad by taking the eggs nor do I want to move her, and she doesn’t bite me when I touch her, she’s just there sitting on eggs, we also recently got new silkies and they’re like babies but not really they’re like adult babies, haha i know, but I think that daisy might be sitting on the eggs is because our new silkies might’ve made daisy want chicks, so please help me on what to do!

Same problem, but I do have a rooster. My hens have tried to set before, and I’ve always broken them from setting. But she only has one egg. I only have now 2 hens and one rooster, which I consider pets. As I recently lost 1 hen would like more silkies.

Get her some fertile eggs, get some chicks to foster to her, or break her broodiness. Setting for extended periods of time can be debilitating to hens.
Hi Southland, I have similar problem. But having trouble getting any fertile silkie eggs. Do you think I should let her set on one egg, or break her setting. As I re entry lost 1 pet hen, would hate to lose this one, Little Damsel. Floods here in Australia and autumn coming into winter not ideal for chick raising. I now only have one rooster and two hens. Would love a few more silkies. Thanks for any help.
