This is my silkie, her name is Arctic

T’Pol (male) (holding in my right hand)
6 months old
Black and white
He is something else right now going through hormones and changes.

Seven of Nine (female) ( holding in my left hand)
6 months old
White
She is my sweet sweet baby girl who likes to be with me and cuddle.
They look blue and splash or both paint (if you're talking about the older photos where you're holding them)

2 silkies:
  • blue or self blue (not sure because they have 8 hens and 3 roosters, but seems light and uniform colored for a blue but too dark for lavender)
  • white (appears to be solid white but we shall see)
1 cochin with silkie ancestry
  • 5 toes, muff, beard, crest, and mostly grey skin, feathered feet
  • Blue partridge or laced (tbd)

1 supposed silkie cochin that looks like a bantam orpington or australorp and I have no idea what he is
  • Black chick, 4 toes, no feet feathers, pink skin, black beak and feet

Hi! I had one silkie hatch out of three eggs. I haven't named him/her yet. I'm curious about the coloring. Her/his mom is a black bearded silkie hen and father could be a black bearded roo or white splash bearded roo. The coloring on the chick seems orange/brown near the face. Has anyone seen this before and what coloring did your chick turn out to have?

White or citron would be my two guesses. Looks too light to be buff :) I had one that color but with what looked like blue down the back and he's citron with black penciling (I think it's pencilling but maybe early spangling?)
