I have a question about the Silkies. I just hatched my first chicks and I was wandering at about what age do the hens wean them? I know most chickens its about at 6wks but I know Silkies mature slower so. Does anyone have a clue. I know some people that raise them but they mostly use incubators.

Took this a little while ago! The big week old yellow chick is a sultan mix. Isn't the partridge in the feeder just adorable??? I have 2 blues in there as well, and 2 more still in the incubator with 4 eggs that have not pipped yet. Hope they make it!!!
