Silkie thread!

Ok, I have someone interested in purchasing a black silkie pullet. I have two silkies, one I'm almost sure is a pullet the other I go back and forth on. I figure I'd post their pics here to see what you all thought. They were hatched out end of Feb beginning of March. Sorry about the pics being a little blurry, didn't realize it till I posted here

The one I suspect is a pullet

This one has a larger comb, but it doesn't scream roo like my other two that I'm 100% sure are roos

I have a Splash Silkie Catdance Roo ("Snowman"), hatched 1/26/11, who is available. I'd love for him to go to someone who could use and love him. He's a real sweetheart, as are all Catdance's Silkies. He is happy and healthy; we're clearing out our current stock to make room for some new breeds.

Anyone know someone who could give him a good home? We're in Kitsap County, WA.

Man! If I had someplace to put him, I would take him! I just have too  many growing out in too many different places right now. :barnie

I felt the same way KMH. Don't have any room for him right now. Then I also remembered that roosters are illegal here. Oops.

Also, I use permithrin drops on the birds... Another BYC-er gave this tip out. I take 1 part permithrin to 3 parts water. I mix it in a glass dropper bottle with a glass dropper... One drop on the neck, one drop on each foot it its legs mites, and treat again in 10 days, this is for silkies... I use 2-3 drops if its a LF bird. Cheaper than buying frontline, or anything like that, and it has the same active ingredient. I used it on my Faverolle Roo Mr. Fluffers. Worked great.
Frontline does not contain permethrin; it's active ingredient is fipronil.

Definitely a rooster. And until he lays an egg-- I stand by that one! LOL!! His flattened out crest says 'rooster' too.

Are you sure you have "black" silkies? This one is a Blue.

These are very properly coloured splash.
