The silkies I have are supposed to be part cat dance, part hat trick, and part something else. They can still see LOL.

I have old comb pictures from a few weeks ago. I'll have to get new ones. Here they are now... they're still quite little. She said they were about 10 weeks when I got them, but they didn't seem to have all their feathers yet., well the blue one didn't have the face feathers yet, but they had everything else. We've had them a month now.

Just went out and bought Tylan 50 for my girls because it didn't seem like the Oxine was working, but now it does seem like it's working, at least from listening to them for a while. UGG! The people at Tractor Supply are going to hate me if I have to return the Tylan AGAIN!

Need a better picture of their faces and you may just have to wait and see. I could tell with my boys at 4 or 5 weeks, they had color showing on their combs already. Some of my newer silkies with bigger crest are a little harder to tell. Each one is different.

Thank you for judging, chickendales. Also, what do you think about the color on the hen and rooster? Would you say blue? I looked at the underfluff on the hen and hers is lighter so I though blue. The roo was harder to tell but I was told by the person I bought them from that they were both blue. I will try to get another pic of him as well since it isn't a great one. Opinions?

I bought these birds two weeks ago. What do ya'll think about type and color?

I hatched these from my own birds. They were hatched 9/7/2012. They have vaulted skulls but not much. I like all their wings. The toes are all well placed but each has a fault.

This black one has a tiny lobster claw. I like her shape, very squat.

This blue one had white tip on 2 toes.. She has the largest skull vault of the three. I hope she turns out nice.

This black one was hatched 9/24/2012. She is also squat. She also had a couple of white tips on two toes.

It seems the white tips have since grown into black skin so thats good. Now I just have to wait and see how the crests turn out.

Hennyhandler I like your black hen a lot. The splash is nice. The rooster is the weakest of the three. I would say you did a good job buying them.

Cute chicks! Are you calling that last one black? I would call it blue...

Sorry it didn't quote the pictures the first time.

It may be this photo but the roo looks like it has a lot of gold leakage. Not desirable in blue or black. It's possible he is a very dark partridge. You might want to post further photos in better light.

They may all be blue. The one in the middle is definitely blue though. I only have one true black female and she is not the mother of these chicks.
