The boy I kept this year is molting.. How weird. He's 20 weeks old, and his crest is all pins (as well as his hackles).

Just finished hatching my very own silkies that are 2nd Generation Catdance silkies...I have 10 fluffy butts...it is my very first time to hatch chicks of my own...so very proud!!!

yes...pics this afternoon afetr I get home from work...I have 5 paint, 1 buff, 2 splash, and 3 a strange color...black with orange frosting...i think from my black (split to paint) roo and the paint girl in my avatar (she has orange frosting)...
Really exciting! I know the feeling as I am very impatiently waiting for the Catdance girl in my avatar to lay!

Your boy have a really gorgeous tail! Love that pullet!
 
I'm not sure however, that you have quite enough silkies yet. I only count about 10. that isn't enough for a sufficient silkie pile, right?

Nope :D I do have more. I have 4 cockerels (if you include the sizzles and frizzled silkie), 6 hens and pullets that are old enough to determine gender (3 more that are going to a new home), and I have 7 chicks that are 6 weeks old, 4 that are 9 weeks old, and probably 10 more in the brooder.
