I also need critiquing Im thinking of keeping this splash rooster, he's got a great personality just dont know if I want to do a pen for B/B/S. Also moommoondiddy your rooster is very cute I have one that also has the silver hackles he came from paint breeding.

This guy looks like he is a sweet boy, but for breeding purposes, I would look for a rooster that more closely resembles the silkie standard.

Agreed. He looks like a very sweet boy, but he really doesn't look breeding quality.....

On another note, if my rooster is trying to court my blue silkie, is that a guarantee that she is a she? I have been 95% positive she's a girl but some behaviors were questionable

I agree also. Your rooster lacks a lot of qualities you would want in a breeding bird. Doesn't mean he wouldn't make an outstanding pet though.

I have seen my roos court the young cockerels and have heard they will even try breeding them. Hope it's a girl!

Edited to add: The SOP tells us what a perfect specimen should be. There is no such thing as a perfect anything but we breed birds to get as close to the SOP standard as possible. The closer your birds resemble it, the better quality birds you have.
