Nori always seemed pretty thin to me for a while. Now that she has only my rooster to compete for food with she eats better and is kinda hefty now haha! I have found they have trouble with crumbles if they aren't in a bowl/feeder and havew trouble eating in general because they can't see the foodI think I've tried all the things on here- high protein, low carb; high carb, low protein, oatmeal (mine don't like it). I feed them Game Bird grower with a little scratch, oystershell on the side (and grit). They still feel bony to me. My large fowl eat the same thing, they are fine. I wish I knew someone with a silkie, so I could hold it and see. I had two silkies a long time ago- don't remember them feeling skinny. Also, the girls' crest seem smaller to me. No molting, male not pulling it out. I'm wondering if I should get a more expensive food from TSC and mix it in. Like Showbird or something. Would love to get my cockerel in show condition, but will be happy to have some meat on everyone's bones! Oh- they were wormed with Ivermectin spot on about a month and a half ago. I need to feed them what I eat, I have no problem with being too thin!

Really nice chicks!!!My CatDance babies!![]()
I had a great hatch rate, very happy. All are healthy and happy.
I believe this little buff is a pullet. But look at her showing off for the camera!![]()
Awwww! They look so beautiful! I love this age! Here are the DW's kids after their first bath/blow dry
Parmesano(White pullet)
Kung Pow(Black pullet)
Marsala(Porcelain pullet)
General Tso(Blue cockerel)
They were all such a mess before the baths, they really love their FF and wear it proudly. I did trim the feathers around their eyes to help them see more, since we are not planning on showing at this point, yet.
Blessings on that hatch and love the adorable calf!
So pretty! Good job on training her. We have two dogs and one of them is a Shiba Inu. She is a big time hunter... killing every little critters. One time when my Wyandotte was 6 weeks old, she attacked her but I arrived right on time. The chick had a little bit of blood on her tail, but overall she was ok. It took us a long time to train her, but eventually succeeded. Now the chickens free range all day with her being around them. I am so proud of her.
They look so cleaned and fluffy. Here are the DW's kids after their first bath/blow dry

I usually mix some Calf Mana with the scratch. I also give them a lot of BOSS and mealworms.I think I've tried all the things on here- high protein, low carb; high carb, low protein, oatmeal (mine don't like it). That's so funny!!!!!!Macho's guide to getting the ladies*.Step 1: When a hen walks up, don't directly look at her. Pose and have a mysterious far off look; allow her to admire your glory. Emphasize your manly chest*.![]()
Step 2: When she's had enough time, look seductively over your shoulder at her, again emphasizing your manly chest*. This is especially effective with a group of hens, as they swoon and titter over who you looked at.
Step 3: Now make your move towards them. As you walk, flex obviously, showing off your manly chest*, strong wings, and thick, soft feathers. But mostly your manly chest*. No hen can resist you now!
Step 4: Enjoy the attention of all the ladies and watch as the heads turn!
Say whattt?! Who's that hunk?
I think I'm in love. Did you see his manly chest*? *Disclaimer: Manly chest required. Results may vary.
