Hi all you silkie lovers! I know nothing about silkie colors. I hatched some eggs from my pair of blue silkies. Well, the woman i bought them from said they were blue, but they are more black than blue. Anyway i got one black/grey like the parents one grey, maybe that one was acutally a blue, I stupidly sold it so I will never know though, and this splash. It's feet and beak are blue, and the feathers arent black and white but a light grey and black. Is it a blue splash?

Ive tried hatching twice unsuccessfully, ;(( so yes I would love to bid on those eggs, but chances are I would have the same result.

Once they get their feathers in and lose their chick down the marker is gone. Usually lasts 4-5 weeks.

The only 100% hatch I've ever had from shipped eggs came from Sundown Waterfowl... you can't go wrong!

youre severely tempting me...what kind of incubator did you use etc? temps, humidity?
