How long before they die, I was leaving some out waiting for the to sit.
They may start to develop during the hot day but get too cold at night and die. Eggs for hatching should be stored under 75 degrees.

looks like blue, black and partridge, possibly blue or silver partridge in there also.
Any white you think? What are the best colors out of these?looks like blue, black and partridge, possibly blue or silver partridge in there also.
possibly the one in the bottom right but it's hard to tell. I personally love blacks but to each their own =)Any white you think? What are the best colors out of these?
The chick looks different colors in the top 2 pictures vs. the last one. In the last pic it looks like a really light blue. Top pictures maybe splash or white?
I think someone already mentioned non-beardeds. They don't have a whole lot of facial feathers which would allow you to see their faces better.I dont know if this is a dumb question but I have seen many pics of silkies and I love how you can only see their beaks when they are fluffy but some you can see their whole face..... can anyone tell me why this is?
Check with Gaetano Farm on Facebook. She's in Bethany, CT, she might have something. Not sure what the distance would be for you?I know this is probably a long shot, but I am looking for a SQ or BQ white silkie rooster or cockerel. I am in north NJ and willing to drive up to 2 hours. Anyone have one they're selling??
Never thought of that.A light box is so easy to make. Can make one out of a cardboard box and tissue paper is seconds! I could show you. No need to buy one!
Sizzles have regular feathers that curl backwards - away from their bodies, all the rest is the same as Silkies. They were originally a cross between a Frizzled Cochin and a Silkie - and have been bred to look like the Silkies. People are working on getting them to be an accepted showable breed - but they are not yet. They are darn cute though!I'm trying to add a pic of my other one, but until then can you tell me more about sizzles?
How do you mix Corid for coccidia? Two chicks have died out of the brooder my new Silkies are in. I have saw what looks like bloody poo. They are two weeks old. Can I mix it in 1 gallon of water and give it to them 1 pint at a time?
