Silkie thread!

I got the corid, put it in the water, and I dipped her beak in there a few times to make sure she drank some of it. Do you think I should do that again later on to make sure she's drinking it??

No, I think about once a day you need to do it, but I think you should put about 3ml in a syringe, and do it that way.

Yeah... If you go to the pharmacy they will give you one if you ask, or if you already have one, use it!

hi everyone this is my boy Mr. Gray (in front) and Mozart (in back)
what do you think?
Mozart as youngster

Mr. Gray

yeah, I doubt she took in 3ml...

I would be very careful when using a syringe. It's too easy to squirt it down the windpipe. You have to just dribble it in to the beak and give her ample time to swallow. The corrid has to made up fresh each day and be the only water supply, so you will know whether or not she is drinking enough.

Pullet or Roo?

I had the SAME problem! My hen hatched 7 eggs in April, and I'm only now figuring out that 5 of the 7 are roosters! It was very ambiguous until they started trying to crow!

This is very disappointing because NOW I have to find homes for 5 roosters!

Any suggestions?
