Cotton My sweet little Frizzle or Sizzle? I cant remember which is which. I can tell you that both parents a silkies. the mama looks like her dad is normal silkie feathered. At almost 6 months I'm sticking with pullet.

Hello all. 
I seem to have had the worst luck with Silkies. Be it loss to hawk and one accidental dog. Genetic issues, or sickness. I love them but I don't have any luck. 

believe me when I tell you, your not alone. I am CONSTANTLY having to protect against Hawks, Raccoons, Foxes, skunks, BOBCATS, etc. And its the worst walking in my backyard to see my favorite chicken with a hawk on top of it. And the hawks are illegal to shoot here!! Ahh! Its hard with free ranging chickens. But I don't work so I now have time to check on them throughout the day. Don't give up!! They are so worth it to keep trying!

That's not always the way it works out. I was so excited with this guy, but he feathered out white.

Wow!!! That is so neat!! I have a few polish babies and they were born DARK BROWN, and now 2 months later....they are turning WHITE!! nature is so awesome. Thanks for the info. Guess its just hard to tell this young. But I love them all to pieces!! Thank u!!

What colour will each of these be when their older

that little one with stripes looks just like my old English hen when she hatched. Is it a silkie?

Thot everyone would enjoy this. I went to check on my flock and um....I also have Muscovy ducks, and look what I found under momma..eekk! So precious
