Silkie thread!

Question for all you amazing silkie peeps and breeders......

I thought this was a Porcelain little girl.....could you all check and see if im correct? I took a pic of her vent I didn't include....it wasn't very good. I figured it was a girl because it didn't stand as tall as my roo chick, and didn't have a comb as lumpy and as big as his. she is 2 weeks and 3 days old today.

This will help so much for me! I was thinking of naming her Bemmie......

here she was as a chick if it helps with identification....

thanks guys!
im also very depressed.....so far I believe I have 5 roosters and 7 hens.....my rule I was going by was 2 hens per roo......well......I need to sell about 2 roosters after thinking about the size of coop im having them in.....so far, I think I may sell one of my OE roos, and my frizzle roo Squidgy.

I don't know where to give them....I don't want to give them to my breeder.....he may sell them again! I want a nice home for them where they will be loved....especaily Squidgy!
Do any of you live close to NC? when the time gets closer I will decide whether to get rid of him.....he sure will be beautiful....

Honestly any answers you get at this age are good guesses at best. Silkies are just to hard to tell. At 3-5 months it is some times possible, but some times it takes a crow or egg. I wouldn't get rid of any you think is a too until you hear it crow. You may be getting rid of your pullets

ok! yeah.....I DONT want to be getting rid of any pullets for sure! thanks!

I hold the baby chicks by the back and turn them on their backs. I believe that pullets will hold their feet the sane way. Cockerel s will pull one up while stretching the other out in a defensive posture. ....that is the way I GUESS. I had a pretty good % right last year, bit its still a guess.
