Silkie thread!

More free ranging today has made them spoiled. I went out to take a picture of something, and I turned and saw this. They saw me and all piled up at the end of the run, ready to go back out again. I felt awful but at that moment I couldn't supervise them. They are going to bed soon anyway lol.
That's what my birds do when they see me also! lol I don't have as many in a pen but it's a sight to see when they all line up at the door!

Toffee, the hen in my avatar pic, hatched her first chick on her own... _Pam
That's a great picture

Not-quite-two month old chick that I like. It looks to actually have a nice round crest-I normally get bonnets. Foot feathering looks good too.

One of my cockerels looking over two pullets (and another cockerel) dust bathing. I like this guy, especially his crest.
Ok....HOW on earth do you keep them so white??? LOL
Like the cockerel also.

I had to do a double take on this picture because mine do the same exact thing, we have the same style run as you and same colors of silkies! Yes, this is the guilty look you get if you don't bring them a special treat or don't let them free range for a while during the day if it is nice outside. Very hard to resist!!

Can anyone recommend a place I can buy Silkie hatching eggs from that is not to pricey (do not have to be SQ breeders) but are otherwise nice, bearded Silkies? What I want to purchase is a mixed bag - a variety of colors! Thanks

About what age to silkies start showing the typical rooster attitude I have a dark colored 2 month old that's started showing some aggression could this be signs its a rooster it walks up to other chicks in brooder and stairs them down then attempts to fight if they don't run from the stair down I know my other roosters start this behavior around 2 weeks old but first time with silkies and this one just started acting like this
