YEY!! Am pretty sure these ARE hens unless their combs are WAY behind in growing than my roo. All 3 from same batch of eggs . their combs both are nearly flat on the top of their beaks

My hen went sitting the 6th. She would lay on eggs at night for a week and finally went sitting. Well I candle eggs and 1 9 them I see feet and a lot of m9vement. Also I listened to the egg and hear it move.
Isn't it early to see feet for.ed already?

These are my two Silkies- a roo and a hen. I love the roo- he doesn't quite yet know how to mate and was trying to the other day. However he was standing backwards on his favorite bird's back! Since we don't yet have the ingredienta for a homemade incubator we are monitering the birds' mating. I am hoping to obtain more Silkies in the future!
I'm no expert but I think it is too early to see feet. Maybe it is the heart or even just the tiny body moving around?
Also, is it possible that the egg has been incubating longer than you think?
I bought a 360 lumen flashlight last night and for the first time saw a foot moving. A real foot! They have been in the incubator for 16 days today.
