AWWWWWW.......SO CUTE!!

I have a German Shepherd that loves the Silkies. She "shepherds" them around and cleans up dirty butts. This past winter when it was SO cold outside, I had brought the Silkies into the basement. My 2 favs (Jazz and Stout) lived in a clothes basket on top of my freezer (no top on the basket). Every morning I would let them out on the floor to walk around. Nora thought it was her duty to watch over them. She wouldn't let the other dogs around them. Pardon the mess in the picture ( we were redoing the floor)

Love it.

We once had a Rotweiller who would do the same thing. She would just lay there and let the chickens walk all over her and peck and pull at her. She loved every minute of it. I think she is the one who taught Bailey.

My little girls turn one month tomorrow....Theyre starting to get mohawks, and pretty happy to be hanging out outside today. These are my first silkies and I'm pretty curious... when can I expect them to start getting FLUFFY?!?!

I'm sorry to say but from the looks of your pics those are not pure Silkies, they are a cross of something else. The number of hard feathers is pretty much the give away on them being a cross. And those funny little mohawks are usually what you see with crosses. So, the answer to your question is, they won't.

I have to agree with Robin416. They do not look like Silkies. Below is a picture of a 5 wk. old Silkie pullets.
