Silkie thread!

Does anyone have a silkie this fluffy?

Pullets and cockerels are at their most fluffiest or right after molt. Mine look nice after molt but forage outdoors all day long and pick up spiderwebs and debris.

This spunky Black Silkie picked up a white feather hairpeice somewhere -- I don't have white chickens so where did she find it?

Growing new feathers after molt.

During molt the new Black feathers are replacing the faded rusty feathers from summer.

Approx 6-month-old pullet.

Two Silkies toodling around together and picking up debris in their "hair."

The crests get matted down during foraging.

Molting Partridge hen -- most of the golden brown feathers are gone and a lot of the gray underdown shows.

Black Silkie faded to rusty red in the brutal summer sun.

Black Silkie picking up spider webs and straw.

This spunky Black is always sporting something caught in her "hair."

Dainty 6-month Partridge pullet

My Black Silkie hen is fluffy if she's not foraging outdoors.

I got this one from a friend a couple months ago when it was a teenager. I was told she was a pullet, please tell me she's correct?! Also, what color is she considered? Any guesses on age?

I got this little darling from a friend yesterday. Any thoughts on age/sex? My friend got her from her niece's extra FFA chicks, so nobody knows!
