I posted this in another thread and got no responses so I am thinking maybe this would be a better place... I am sorry to double post... just looking for some insight...

Below are two of my hatches. A couple of weeks after my silkies started laying I had some Porcelain d'Uccle eggs going into the bator so I threw two of my silkie eggs in too. Now I am hoping for some gender guesses and color guesses... also could they be silkie/d'Uccle crosses. They are about 7 weeks old.

This one I am hoping is a girl but not sure...smaller than the other one. Also is this considered white. It is hard to tell but the feathers may have a beige/yellow cast... if you look near the crown they look "tinted" but otherwise look white

This one I am pretty sure is a boy.. comparing it to my silkie roo at the same age. I have no idea what this coloring would be called... any suggestions? Thanks!

At what age do most Silkie cockerels start crowing?? I've got one this morning, that belted out his first crow...at 6 weeks, 2 days old.

Now, if I can just figure out which one it was!

wondering what color this pullet and cockerel are, and if color affects laying, eggs, mating, etc. My brownish rooster crowed much earlier than my white rooster and so I was wondering if color had anything to do with this. Thanks.
