Silkie thread!

Too bad you did not tell me 2 weeks ago. I just sold some white silkies that I drove all the way to GA to get. I ended up only keeping the b/b/s when I got word I was getting the blue showgirl did not want the white to be in my main coop any longer and the other coop will be for the showgirls. I had 3 pair of white and just sold them this past weekend. I should not have anymore white unless there are extras included in the eggs I bought and I acutually hatch them. I have a few pics on my BYC page but will get more soon. I down sized and not all silkies in the pic are still in the main coop. Smithville is not to far from me but I have not been there in years. Thanks for the heads up on the Elvis show not sure I will make it but my hubby is a HUGE fan.

Here is a pic of the silkie roo my daughter bought me today. I bought chicks several times and they always died so I figured they were hard to keep. She was watching someones farm while they were showing sheep at a farm and asked me to come help feed. She wanted to show me the ugliest chickens she had ever seen. ( I raise rumpless tufted Araucana and she thinks they are ugly, so she was trying to make me feel better cause she found an uglier chicked) I walk into the chicken pen and I was in love. They had 4 roos and two girls. I told her to just ask for some eggs and I would throw them in with my Araucana eggs in the bator. Today she comes over with this roo in a crate. He is soo pretty. I didn't need another roo and now I gotta find him some girls. he can't be lonely. That wouldn't be fair. Plus I have considered what a tufted silkie Araucana would look like. I cant wait.

Letisha,

I have 16 roos now. Don't you dare be talking to my daughter cause she would bring more home. Thats how I ended up with 3 goats I don't need, 4 ducks I have no use for and have destroyed my beautiful koi pond, not to mention the various chickens she swears she was buying for herself because her husband is going to build her a hen house. Sure he is and it had better be on my property cause I need another one bad now. LOL

I love how soft looking this roo is while still maintaing a regal "don't touch me I'm a boy roo" attitude.
