Silkie thread!

Yes I would suggest using a spell checker and just take your time going through writing your Bio / introductory paragraph a bit more professionally and neatly.

Honestly at this point its nearly painful for me to read it, I am a big stickler on not perfect sentence structure/spelling but good, I personally wouldn't want to go to a breeder's website and see they are spelling all their breeds and colors incorrectly, it reflects badly on you in a very unneccisary way. It does not matter if it is not your strong suit, however it only takes a few extra minutes to use a spell checker and copy and paste, or get someone to proof read and edit for you before publishing. Just a strong suggestion since you asked for advice on improving it, and I assume making it more professional.

Good luck

Hello! I just wanted to say! If anyone is wanting some buff bantam silkie roosters please PM me! I have two free bantie roos that need good homes soon!

hi everyone- i haven't posted in awhile, but had to share this darling- she came from a fellow bycer but she can't remember the breeder she got the egg from- it was added to another order for eggs as a spare- anyway- i got her since coral doesn't raise silkies- she does have a few black feathers, maybe the breeder was aiming at paints, not sure- but she is a wonderful little one..

So I have a question. I had a hell of a year trying to hatch silkies. Had a good hatch from some semi local eggs...just didn't feel like brooding sold them to another byc member. She won two ribbons with two different birds

. Really wanted some splashes...hatched 3 sold 2 kept 1...sold my girls...go figure. Sold the Roo...kept 1 more questionable he turned into a he....Was planning on keeping him then lost my BEAUTIFUL blue pullet to wry neck ....So now all I have is a crazy Broody Sizzle Hen.....and a Partridge show girl...named Petey....which is short for something can't share on here lol...but anyhow question is...Are silkies hard to breed and hatch naturally.....

My Silkie Roo I lost over the summer ...a hawk got him

Yep....he's just amazing. I think he was a puppy in a past life.
I went to trim his feet feathers (cos its been very wet here lately). I laid him on his back on my lap &
just trimmed away. He didnt flinch or move. His little legs were tucked up under him & I could scratch
his tummy!!!

I was stunned....he is sooo placid!! He can sit on your lap for a pat & fall asleep. I'm telling you Im in love
