Silkie thread!

What is the difference between a Silkie, a Cochin, and a brahma? Are there a standard size breed of these? Are they all momma wannabes...is one more inclined to go broody than the other? What kind of layers are they?

Well, Cochins can fly but not too high and have a LF counterpart. Banty Brahmas, at least mine, don't fly and have a LF counterpart. Silkies have no LF counterpart in the US and can't fly period.

All three are broody Brenda's. I have one brahma, one Cochin, (both banty) and might or might not have a Silkie pullet. I am actually leaning heavily towards my silkies both being boys. But no crowing yet so...

wat color is that? very pretty
I am not really sure of their colors. They came from Sonoran Silkies. These are pet quality. They are beautiful colors though. I am hooked. I would love to have more. Trying to get DH to build me a coop just for silkies as I also have LF too.

This is where they are living right now. My nursery/quarantine/integration/grow out coop.

which one has the single comb so i can see

Wow! I'm seeing some pretty silkie's here! It's my turn now. There's 17 in all, but I'm giving three to a friend, and later selling white silkie cockerels. This first one is Danny, he is one of my favorites! But I'm gonna have to get rid of him.
