Adorable!
I just found in my fridge some infant probiotics that I used for my son. Could I use it to help her immune system?
I would try it!

Hi guys! I can't keep up with all the posts here, so fast! :)

so, Lucia laid her first egg about 4 days ago and nothing since. is this common for silkies?
Yes.
I love it! That's so cute, yet so funny
Haha! Yes, they will definitely donate to the cause!

Iris is broody! I'm not totally happy about it because she is a nice breeding hen. She has now committed to being broody, but only while in with her flock. I have tried isolating her previously and she abandoned the eggs. This time, I am not going to be fussy about where she decides to set on the eggs. I gave her 4 eggs this morning, I checked the nests about 1/2hr ago....now Iris is setting on 8 eggs.....What a little egg thief! I guess she talked to other hens into donating to her cause...

I love how the girls steal each others eggs when they go broody. So funny.

Nori is pretty fat, but also VERY fluffy

I have a hen named Iris also.

What does yours look like?
My Iris also went broody almost 3 weeks ago. She never had any eggs to sit on as we collect eggs daily. Sometimes I'll collect the silkie eggs twice a day but this hen was persistent. lol So I ended up picking up 3 chicks for her to care for. Now she's a happy girl!

I had two hens last year that kept stealing each others chicks.

Mr. Ace Ventura has now had his first bath ever!!

And he wasn't as dramatic as I thought he would be! He's about 9 months old. I think I'll start my next chicks with this bathing stuff a little sooner. lol

He wasn't much for posing either. I got a couple of nice shots. Ace insisted on taking a nap in the sun. Today was the warmest day we've had for a long time and all the animals were snoozing in the sun!

And look at those feet! Not the greatest feathering around but I was pretty impressed how his feet turned out after a bath. They looked quite sad before and I didn't think they were going to turn out that good.

Now I'm REALLY excited about taking this guy to our first show in April! I mailed the entries today!!

Sorry, really hard to know what the problem might be. Was it in with other birds? Any obvious trauma? How alive? Barely or alive but laying on it side ?

Can you describe what's going on? Is she standing on one leg? Does it look like she injured her foot? So sorry :(

Well it is just laying down and doing nothing but it is breathing
