The bird is not a cross, or at least not a first generation cross--note that it has silkie feathers, and you cannot get them in a first generation cross.

Post a picture of your rooster. Someone here will know!Another question I have concerns the red roo I have. I don't plan to keep him any longer than to produce some chicks for pets and sell at the farmer's market this fall. He doesn't have a beard.
But...is he really red or a reddish partridge? How can I tell???
