Can someone explain to my chicks that they need to go INSIDE the coop at night? LOL.  Tomorrow will be a week for them outside, and I still have to dig them out from under the coop to put them in it.

Is there a ramp into your coop? You may have to teach them to go up the ramp. I used dried meal worms placed up the ramp, worked really well.

She passed away a few minutes ago. Near the end I just tried to get her to drink the drips off my finger but she wouldn't. She is in chick heaven now.

I've washed my Silkies before but have never trimed beaks or toe nails. Why do you do that?

Keeps them nice an manacured for showing. Some you have to more than others though.

Thank y'all soo much for your advice and sympathy I really appreciate it more than yall know. She is about to dye any second and I am in the other room for now while my hubby waits until it is certain. Not sure if I will get another. I've had soo many turn out to be roosters after getting attached and two die. I might just keep the three healthy big ones I have a move on with taking care of them. I REALLY wanted a silkie though.. But I don't know of anyone that will sell me just one silkie

The worst part is knowing there is nothing more I can do, but I guess I should be thankful that I have other healthy chicks.

Consider getting one that is old enough to tell the gender.
