Don;t know what you mean?  Silkies generally lay an ivory coloured (aka "tinted") egg, not white.

The egg I found was a pink pullet egg It must have belonged to one of her Chocolate Bantam Orpington sisters

If you guys could only have one SQ bird, what color would it be? I was leaning toward splash, and I'm thinking maybe porcelain now. Partridge is nice too... Lol

What age did your silkies start laying? I have four 8 month old girls. None lay. One has been singing the egg song for a week though and has been in the nest box all day today. So we will see I guess. Also my two year old hen with the curled foot has been laying around today a lot. Not acting ill just not on her feet. Could it just be her legs are tired? She limps around because of her foot. She was born that way I understand and I adopted her. I want to make her a padded shoe lol. She has pin feathers everywhere, no balding, just very rough when you pet her, and dropped off laying two months ago, so I am assuming molt?

I have a seven-month-old who started laying like a week or two ago. She lays every other day. Also, she does not like me taking her eggs, even though she's not with a fertile rooster. I get pecked and she spends a hour carrying on like something's killing her.

Actually, one of my new blacks seem to lay a very lightly pink tinted egg! Will have to keep an eye out, I have a broody sitting on a couple.

For sure, I have 1 egg growing! yeah!!!!!!! I'm excited. But, it won't be too exciting when there's only 1 chick. I hope others develop!
