Silkie thread!

yes breeding smooth sizzles to frizzled sizzles created more pure sizzles. They will be smooth, frizzled, silkied, or frizzled silkied

Now that is a true blue chicken people tongue twister!

Yup. Never curly to curly. And I was told by a breeder when I got my sizzles and smooth sizzles that the smooths would be my favs. They are! All fluffy and goofy. They'll probably need some trimming around the eyes when they fill out though. Mine can't see for their life if we don't keep up on it. Lol. Adorable...and sad.

Had to post this picture of Braxton's second hatch. He had 8 fertile white eggs. 7 made it to lockdown and he has 5 out with the other two pipped.

I thought this picture was hilarious.

I went with using a frizzle Cochin hen to make Sizzles since I have an abundance of Silkie roosters already. I might have to sell pairs of Sizzles and let other people breed them but it would be fun to hatch them myself if I separate them into a breeding pen. Right now I am trying to fill an order for a frizzle feathered Sizzle pullet so hopefully the frizzle feathered Sizzle is a girl and not a boy.

My littles don't fit in their shoebox for brooder cleaning anymore. I went to put shavings in and they were all out on the floor relieving themselves. I guess I need a bigger box.

The first brooder cleaning...

They are 3 weeks to almost 5 weeks now.

So I officially think she's splash. I figure some of you have seen this on fb, but I wanted to see if anyone on here had the same opinion. She isn't white. Crest growing in kinda gray. Also I know you can't tell much for quality when they are chicks, but if someone knows something I don't, opinions would be great! She hatched on Oct 18th

Her feet...
