Hey guys! this is my silkie Bemmie I hatched on new years! I am still trying to find what coloring she is....she has some buff and white! what color could she be?

Isn't it bad to put the egg in water? Humidity wise?

Don't let the water be too hot or cold. It should be ok for a few seconds. This test allowed me to save 4 eggs I thought were dubs that were just late bloomers!

Awww, you have babies   I can't wait for my Silkies to be old enough to brood some chicks!  How are the eggs from the GCM and BWA coming along? See any veining yet? When are your other eggs due? 

Yup! We have a babies. Bantam salmon Faverolles. Adorable. Haven't checked the GCM eggs yet...they are under a new broody and don't want to spook her by checking too much. The BWAs are due next week, so fingers crossed on those!**** ....I also have silkies in the bator too. Lol I figured I needed more of them to be my mamas. Heehee.

I'll bet those bantam Favorolle chicks will be adorable! I had a blind LF Favorolle rooster once named lucky. He saved his flock from a raccoon attack and was mortally wounded. He was one special rooster! Who did you get the Silkie eggs from?

My Silkies are so Silly! I had to boot them outside today since they won't go out on their own! They were afraid to walk on the soil!

One of the roosters (the cross beaked one) crowed today! At 3 months old! He is such a character! Hope I can find him a good home. He is real pretty. His color looks calico.

I am starting a batch of BWA (test hatch of the Cree pullets) and bantam BLRW eggs in the next couple of days.

I got the silkie eggs from fowlrus, here on BYC. Excited to have more colored fluff balls out back.

I think 8-9 of my BWA are looking good. Hope they all hatch! Please please please. I should order more eggs from her and get another batch from someone unrelated to have a good breeding stock.
