Silkie thread!

I have an automatic egg turner but I do have issued keeping the humidity stable. I can keep it right most of the day but when I wake up in the morning it has dropped over night. I just can't keep the humidity stable without having to adjust thing every few hours.

I'm having that same issue now. Plus, I have 3 different humidity/temp readings and don't know what to go by. All have been calibrated. It's stressful.

To BuckNBark & MWAFORD - wish y'all weren't so far away. I've got one Partridge right now that is so broody a plastic egg stuck to her breast when we lifted her out for some exercise. I didn't know the faux egg was in the straw! She's 3 years old and never was broody her first year. Now all she wants to do is brood. Found her setting on a cucumber slice yesterday!

Oh , give the girl some eggs.

I'm not so sure about your other questions, but in my experience when I separate roosters from hens they fight more. Just my experience though.

Then I hope this is just cabin fever. It's either that or I separate out at least some of the roosters. I can't get rid of them because they're the kids' chickens.

I got a few pics today of the floofies. We need spring time badly. They are still in the house and bored, so while I cleaned the brooder box, and the big flocks area, I let the run around the kitchen. BIG cleanup after, but they enjoyed themselves.

Chance and Booker. They look so much alike. Father and son.

Big bro Chance and sis Henley

This was funny to me. They do what momma does.

My daughter is obsessed with her chickies.. No they aren't mine when she is around lol..

Chic Power!

Love in it's purist form.

This morning I turned their heat lamp off since we have warmer weather. They decided to sit in a row and pop their heads out of the holes. Charlie (far left) then Jack, Baby and Mama. We think Charlie is a roo and the rest are female. But baby could be a roo not too sure yet. Mama is still young but she has been "brooding". Wanting to lay around in certain parts of their pen.
