Who do you think is mom?. Lydia hatched them but some eggs were emerys. Romans the father.

I have a question. I have a splash silkie rooster, a splash silkie hen and a black silkie hen. At least I think she s black, she could be blue. My question is, out of all the eggs I have hatched from that pen I have never gotten a blue chick. Always splash chicks! Any ideas why??

Splash/ splash = splash. Splash / blue= 50% splash 50% blue. Depends how many chicks you are hatching from that hen too. In order to predict the colours of your chicks you also have to know the genetics behind your blue. Perhaps she has splash in her line too.
