Is he a red?

Yes, he is a red partridge . I have kept his son from spring hatch and they are a ' pigeon pair ' , even I have to look twice.

Cool I have 3 "red silkies" comming in the mail and im really not sure what to expect from them to be honest. The 3 blacks and 3 buffs I think I know what im getting with them. Lol I hope they have breads and muffs because I personally like the ones with them better.
I only plan to keep 4-5 of the 9 I am getting so hopefully ill get what im hoping for.

You'll find the preference for full bonnets/crests/beards in the USA although non-bearded are acceptable. However in the UK, Australia, and some European countries they seem to like the non-bearded as their standard. Either way they will be sweet birds. Every country sets their own preferences in standards.

Sulmet only treats 2 x strains of cocci. Corid treats all 9 strains.
They have a product out called Aviomed 4-1 powder which works very well! I used it and my chicks recovered quickly and with no ill effects!!! One teaspoon per gallon for 3 days.... One was pooping blood... Not sure which one... But after 1st day on the meds no more blood. No one carried this med so I ordered it off the internet. It treats cropcanker, e-coli, parathypoid and coccidiosis a local breeder in my area told me about this product as well as what dosage to use. I also mixed it with a probiotic and electrolites made for lil chicks! I can say for sure it works extremely well and is fast acting. My poor lil chicks looked to be on deaths door! Everyone has since recovered and are doing very well!!!

As Sil says the standard is different her in Australia . The eyes must be clearly visible. If the crest obscures vision it is seen as a defect in the show ring. I have bearded as well , but once again the eyes must be free of fluff.

Good to know. There are many cocci meds on the market, some only treat 3-4 strains and others treat all 9. Make sure you read the withholding periods on the labels. Amprolium has nil.
